in 1999 it's aim was to site pieces of sculpture within the woodland at Calgary
that will provoke & enlighten a general awareness of art in nature.

Calgary art in nature with the support from donations from their leaflets & maps will:
arrange new visiting exhibitions
in the woods
commission work from artists
set up training & educational
workshops & courses
Host music events
The upkeep of the wood is
undertaken by Calgary Farmhouse the funding of new sculpture is only possible by
donations, if you have enjoyed walking through the wood please support our
project.
The new Gallery in the woods, above Matthews carving studio, is primarily for
his work, but will occasionally have seasonal exhibitions featuring other
artists.
